Job description
As Manager Portfolio Controlling & Impact Measurement, you will play a key role in managing and monitoring the financial performance and impact of our portfolio companies. You will support our investment team and provide insights that help guide strategic decisions across our portfolio. We are a committed and diverse team of investors and professionals, working closely with our founders and partners. We are now looking for a new member in our Finance & Operations team to join us and further strengthen our financial operations, impact reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Impact Measurement
Responsibility for impact measurement and reporting
Further development and implementation of our impact measurement framework
Support and quality assurance for impact analyses as part of the investment decision process
Support portfolio companies in defining and measuring their social impact
Aggregate and analyze impact data for LP reports
Respond to impact-related requests from our investors and network partners
Contribute to the development of our impact strategy and represent Ananda in relevant events and networks
Portfolio Controlling
Serve as the main point of contact for financial controlling across portfolio companies
Maintain and further develop a standardized reporting and controlling framework
Analyze and evaluate the financial performance of our investments (KPIs, runway, forecasts)
Conduct variance analyses and ad-hoc evaluations
Perform quarterly portfolio valuations according to IPEV guidelines
Conduct cap table analyses and support exit preparations
Prepare reports and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders
Support investment transactions (e.g., milestone tracking, internal preparations)
Collaborate with the Head of Finance on strategic initiatives
Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
Lead responsibility for compliance and regulatory topics
Further development and implementation of our ESG and SFDR strategy
Monitor developments in the regulatory landscape and market
Maintain ESG and SFDR reporting structures
Support KYC and compliance topics in coordination with the Anti-Money Laundering Officer
Fund Management – Support
Support quarterly and annual financial statements and communication with LPs
Serve as a deputy for fund management functions
Handle ad-hoc finance and reporting-related requests
Job requirements
What do you bring:
Several years (approx. 2–5) of experience in finance – ideally in venture capital, private equity, or a startup environment
Strong command of financial and controlling standards, accounting, and cash flow management
Familiarity with valuation standards in the VC context
Solid expertise and/or strong interest in impact measurement, ESG, or sustainability
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills – both for financial analysis and KPI-based impact management
Ability to translate numbers into actionable recommendations
Sensitivity and professionalism in working with founders and stakeholders
Pragmatic, solution-oriented working style
High degree of ownership, structure, and entrepreneurial thinking
Strong communication skills – across founders, investment team, auditors, and LPs
Business fluency in German and English
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Controlling, or equivalent qualification
